Visited Paddington Markets on a Saturday around lunchtime. Parking was a bit challenging, but it was a lovely walk through the area and the atmosphere was great. There was a good selection of clothing, jewellery, handbags and products from independent designers. The market is definitely worth visiting if you're looking for unique items and enjoy browsing local creative brands. Unfortunately, I didn't end up finding anything for myself. While there were plenty of beautiful products, the style just wasn't quite what I was looking for. Overall, it was a nice experience, but probably not somewhere I would return to specifically for shopping.
Great market vibe - loved the Himilayan food for lunch, fresh juice and perusing the great stallholders and their wares.
Jan 2026 Quaint. Nice grounds. Eclectic shops with crafts offerings and limited food options (8 stalls). It's more of a neighbour weekend market than an international type place. Mainly local vendors with their own handmade crafts. Should be able to cover the entire area in under an hour. Ah yes, it has a small playground for happy kids to run around in.
Came here to compliment the food. If you are gluten free, must try a Hopper from Just Hopper stall. Husband decided to try something new and came back with a warm, aromatic and exciting Sri Lankan dish we’ve never had before. We learned a “Hopper” is a bowl-shaped pancakes, with egg and vegetable options), kottu roti (chopped roti mixed with meat or vegetables), and various curries like butter chicken and vegetable korma. Egg was hard cooked so it made for a relatively firm contrast to the flavorful chicken curry and dal combo (sorry if I’m using the wrong term for the vegetarian lentil). SO GOOD. We also got the Roman style pizza and that was fantastic too: light, crunchy and toppings tasted good (which is to say they were not just junky sausages and foam meatball). The sausage potato was so light and the ragu pizza was just right! Tip: Bring cash to support the produce farmers in keeping our prices down! Bustling market with lots of different, more curated assortment of offerings which made for more engaged browsing.
My second time to this Paddy Market. I woll suggest you put aside 1 hour to enjoy browsing the shops. You can get fresh fruits and vegetables at the market segment. Do visit the Market City shopping centre for some more shopping.
